We understand composites, from construction to repair.
PLYMEND draws on over 15 years of practical work with composites, including building and repairing model aircraft structures. We apply that experience when assessing damage and choosing a repair method for each part that comes into our workshop.
Experience that starts with building
PLYMEND is the name of the carbon fibre and composite repair service provided by FlyPeak, obrt za proizvodnju bespilotnih letjelica.
Our technical background is in building and repairing model gliders, their wings and other composite parts. This work involves material selection, preparation, lay-up and finishing.
In lightweight composite structures, weight, shape, stiffness and joint design all matter. Knowing how a part is made helps us understand its construction and decide how to approach the damaged area.
We work with carbon fibre, fibreglass, aramid and combinations of these materials.
Carbon fibre and fibreglass repair servicesUnderstanding how a part is made
Experience with lay-ups and joints helps us assess damage in the context of the whole structure. We consider the part’s intended use, the surrounding material and access to the repair area.
On that basis, we propose the work and explain the likely outcome, including the appearance and visibility of the repair.
